The final procession for Bradley Police Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic will take place tomorrow, January 7th at approximately 12:30pm according to Illinois State Police District 21 Ashkum in a Facebook post today:

Procession Details Below:

Departure: Olivet Nazarene University, Hawkins Centennial Chapel โ€“ Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 immediately following funeral services and first responder walkthrough at 10:00 a.m.

-Leave Hawkins Centennial Chapel take University Avenue to S. Main Street.

-Turn right onto S Main Street.

-Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Main Street NW.

-Continue onto Illinois Route 102 W.

-Turn right onto Illinois Route 53 N/E Baltimore Street (Wilmington IL.).

-Continue to follow Illinois Route 53 N.

-Turn left onto W Hoff Road.

-Continue on Hoff Road (this turns into Abraham Lincoln Boulevard)โ€.

Sergeant Rittmanic was fatally shot to death just before 11:00pm on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, while responding to a call at the Comfort Inn in Bradley. Rittmanicโ€™s partner, Officer Tyler Bailey, was also shot. Bailey is currently in critical condition. The story was originally reported by, The Daily Journal.
