The Kankakee County Fire Department was alerted of a fire on February 2nd at about 9:45pm. The fire, which was located at 455 E. Bourbonnais Street, unfortunately led to the death of resident Phillip Spencer. After an investigation, Kankakee Fire and Arson Investigators concluded that the fire was started under suspicious nature. 

On the morning of March 7th, the investigation team arrested Mrs. Tammy Spencer, 57, of 455 E. Bourbonnais Street. She will be charged with both starting the fire and the death of Phillip Spencer.
