This year’s Unity International Fest, slated for May 4, 2024, promises to be a vibrant tapestry woven with the cultural threads of our society. Scheduled at Genesis Community Ministries on East Maple Street, the festival aims to foster unity through a cornucopia of cultural displays, delicious food, and engaging activities. “It’s more than a festival; it’s the heartbeat of Kankakee, pulsing with diverse rhythms and flavors,” shares Pastor Dave Robinson during a poignant moment on our podcast.
Kickstarting with a Prayer and Ending with a Candlelight Vigil
The festival will begin with an inclusive prayer breakfast from 9 to 11 am, featuring interfaith prayers by ministers from various ethnic backgrounds.
